Q: Do you allow pets?
A: We love our four-legged friends, but Onni does NOT allow pets at this time.
Q: How many guests can stay at Onni?
A: Onni can accommodate up to 8 guests with four bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
Q: What is the cleaning fee?
A: Our cleaning fee is $225 per stay.
Q: Do you charge sales tax?
A: Yes. Applicable Michigan taxes are collected as part of your reservation.
Q: What time are check-in and check-out?
A: Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be requested, and we’ll be happy to accommodate you whenever our schedule allows.
Q: Can we request early check-in or late check-out?
A: Absolutely—you’re welcome to ask! Availability depends on our cleaning schedule and whether we have guests arriving or departing the same day. We’ll accommodate requests whenever we can.
Q: Are there special check-in requirements during the summer?
A: Yes. During our peak summer season, from June 1 - August 31, we typically require Saturday or Sunday check-in and Friday or Saturday check-out. Have a different schedule in mind? Reach out—we’re happy to consider requests when availability allows.
Q: What is included with our stay?
A: We provide bed linens, bath towels and kitchen essentials, shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, hand soap, lotion, toilet paper and paper towel. For longer stays, you may want to bring or purchase additional supplies.
Q: Is the kitchen stocked?
A: Yes! The kitchen is set up for everyday cooking and includes cookware, dishes, glassware, utensils and other kitchen basics. You'll also find a gas stove, large island and plenty of space for gathering.
Q: Is there a washer and dryer?
A: Yes. Guests have access to a washer and dryer during their stay.
Q: Can guests use the garage?
A: The garage is not available for guest use at this time.
Q: Is there Wi-Fi?
A: Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included, and the network information will be provided before check-in and available in the house.
Q: How close are you to Lake Michigan?
A: One of our favorite things about Onni is the location! We're about 5 minutes from Lake Michigan beaches, with plenty of other Up North adventures nearby.
Q: Is Onni on the water?
A: No. Onni is not a waterfront property, but you'll have easy access to both Bear Lake and Lake Michigan, plus a partial lake view from the property.
Q: Is there outdoor space?
A: Yes! Onni has a deck with outdoor seating and dining space, plus a yard and fire pit area for enjoying those Up North evenings.
Q: Do you have a grill?
A: Yes. A grill is available for guest use.
Q: Do you have a fire pit?
A: Yes! We have an outdoor fire pit area. Guests are responsible for following any local fire restrictions or burn bans in effect during their stay. Firewood bundles will be available to purchase via Venmo during your stay.
Q: Is Onni good for families?
A: Definitely. Onni is our family’s second home, and we've designed it with families and small groups in mind. There are two living spaces, four bedrooms, a full kitchen and plenty of room to spread out or spend time together.
Q: Do you allow parties or events?
A:No. Onni is intended for registered guests only. Parties, events and unauthorized guests are not permitted. Additional fees may be assessed for violations of this policy.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: No. Onni is a strictly smoke-free property. Smoking, vaping, and marijuana/THC use are not permitted anywhere inside the home or on the property. Violations will result in a $500 smoking fee, plus any additional cleaning or damage costs incurred.
Q: What are your quiet hours?
A: Quiet hours are 10 PM–8 AM. We're in a residential area and ask our guests to help us be good neighbors.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations made more than 60 days before arrival receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable. We also offer a short grace period immediately after booking for qualifying reservations.
Q: Where exactly is Onni?
A: We're located in Bear Lake, Michigan, perfectly positioned for exploring Onekama, Arcadia, Frankfort, Manistee, Sleeping Bear Dunes and more. You'll receive the exact address and arrival instructions with your reservation.
Q: What is there to do nearby?
A: A lot! Depending on the season, you'll find Lake Michigan beaches, boating, hiking, golf, skiing, scenic M-22 drives, Sleeping Bear Dunes, charming Up North towns and plenty of places to eat and explore.
